WASHINGTON, DC, November 23, 2015 – Washingtonian magazine named four Phillips & Cohen partners – Mary Louise Cohen, Erika Kelton, Peter Chatfield and Colette Matzzie – in its 2015 list of the best lawyers in the District.
The December issue of Washingtonian listed what it described as the “top legal talent in 21 practice specialties.” The four Phillips & Cohen attorneys were included in the top lawyers for whistleblower category, which described them as lawyers who “protect those who call out employers on misconduct.”
Whistleblower attorneys Cohen, Kelton, Chatfield and Matzzie each have decades of experience representing whistleblowers. Phillips & Cohen attorneys have won more than $1 billion in whistleblower rewards for clients and have helped government entities recover more than $11.6 billion in criminal and civil settlements.
This is the latest in a series of awards for Phillips & Cohen whistleblower attorneys this year. The firm was named to National Law Journal’s “Hot List” for top plaintiff law firms, and its attorneys were selected for Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Lawyers in America,” National Law Journal’s “Elite Trial Lawyers” and “Attorneys Who Matter” by the Ethisphere Institute.
