The Tier 1 label, according to Best Lawyers, reflects a law firm’s standing among other leading lawyers and clients in the same regions and corresponding practice areas.
To be eligible for the 2022 recognition, a law firm must have at least one lawyer in the 28th edition of The Best Lawyers in America list for that particular location and specialty. - A whistleblower case against defense contractor AAR Corp. that alleged the company failed to meet safety and maintenance requirements for planes it used to transport US military personnel and cargo in Afghanistan. The case settled for $11 million.
- A qui tam lawsuit against healthcare tech company CareCloud, which paid $3.8 million to settle whistleblower allegations of kickbacks related to electronic health records technology.
