Statement: DOJ’s Whistleblower Pilot Program Received over 250 Tips from Whistleblowers to Combat Fraud

Department of Justice, Washington DC

Washington, DC—The Department of Justice has received over 250 whistleblower tips to its new whistleblower pilot program, according to DOJ’s Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General Marshall Miller.

Statement of Erika Kelton, whistleblower attorney with Phillips & Cohen

“The Department of Justice’s pilot whistleblower program, like most others, is proving to be highly effective at rooting out illegal conduct efficiently.  The government’s return on investment for whistleblower programs has been extremely high.  The new administration, with its cost-cutting priorities, should look to expand rather than shrink whistleblower programs.”
